Holy shit was Saturday night at Whiskey Dicks goin off or what? Seriously thank you South Lake Tahoe for representing metal and your local boys in Idekay. Starting the night off was new local two-piece heavy groovers Zeus. They played a killer set and started the party off right at 9 pm and the crowd was there from the start the rock show was underway and everyone was enthused for the nights festivities. After Zeus finished their set a Sacramento all-star group that goes my the name of Life Uh Da Party came on and sung songs like “high tide at the abortion center” and other glorious songs about bloody bowel movements and who knows what else? Needless to say they puzzled the crowd and played a 17 min power set and rocked it and left the stage for Death Valley High from San Francisco. They played a great set and carried a different sound than the rest of the bands that played Saturday a great performance for sure. Then the heavy hitters from Chico CA , Armed for Apocalypse returned to South Lake Tahoe and Whiskey Dick’s and punished the crowd with their heavy guitar tones and monster drums and lead way to the always so entertaining Pop Murder from Livermore, CA that only plays sexy pop covers and they started their set off with Montell Jordan’s “This is how we do it” and rocked Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and let me tell you I witnessed the hardest mosh pit ever to a Madonna song. Pop Murder fooled the crowd into thinking they were goin to rock “Reign in Blood” by Slayer but that was cut short and a confusing transition into WHAM ‘s “Jitterbug”. They rocked a few more songs and the crowd was in high anticipation for the return of Idekay to South Lake Tahoe to rock their home crowd since May 29th 2011. As soon as Idekay stepped on stage the crowd packed in and brought so much energy from the start of their set to the very end of the night. It was hands down one of the raddest show that we have ever put on in the 6 years that Borndead has been hosting shows. We would like thank South Lake Tahoe , the staff at Whiskey Dicks and everyone who helped make Saturday night the best metal show that we have ever done in South Lake. Up next on March 24th CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE, Otis , Falling To Pieces , Murderlicious, and Cursed…. at Whiskey Dicks once again …. LET DO THIS SOUTH LAKE!!!!!!!!
